Jim Peterson is the V.P. and Small Business Ambassador, on the Multicultural Businesses Banking team for M&T Bank. In that role he focuses on the engagement, education and empowerment of multiculturally owned businesses.
Prior to M&T Bank he served in the Mayor’s Office of Minority & Women Owned Businesses as the Outreach Coordinator for the Baltimore City Small Business Resource Center. Jim is a former business owner with multiple endeavors, over 25 years of business ownership experience and two successful exits.

Jim serves on the board of directors for the Empowerment Academy Charter School and Innovation Works Baltimore. He is also a mentor and advisor to many founders and small business organizations in the Greater Baltimore area.
